Thanks Trik, I was told by an RSPB person some years back that birds that spend the majority of their time in trees hop when they are on the ground. ... Yes, your right. the treecreeper appeared very clumsy and out of place.

Goldcrest again, there was 2 of them today in some brambles by our wild pond. One of them stayed higher in the bush but this one was fly catching over a small bit of water and it spent a good 5 mins closer to me than I could focus. Tiny tiny tiny things.
