ah i think i found the problem - it think it is because i was looking at the actual file within capture one and not the imported one inside the session

if im wrong please set me straight

In the catalog I know that just using the delete key only deletes it from the catalog. To delete from disk requires a separate command (‘alt+del’ is the PC shortcut, I think).

I don’t do sessions, so not sure on my that. Are you preferring the sessions workflow in C1?

For big birds A7Riii BIF'ing is a charm. Kinda hated downsampling this one to forum standards.

Is using an adapter for my Canon lenses a good option? At under 2K, I'd be curious to try a Sony, but I love my Canon lenses and would like to keep them. I just don't know if the focusing speed and accuracy and/or functionality are compromised with an adapter.

after you try some smaller sony lenses, I'm sure you wont want to adapt.

There's a limitation when adapting, you can still shoot 10fps, but wont be able to track at that speed, only first frame is tracked, subsequent are not. Shooting at 3fps, it can track all the way through. Accuracy will be better than what you're accustomed to. Focus lock on that eyeball is not only fast, but out of the way good. Who needs to move focus points when the camera can simply detect the eye? One of the most brilliant features to exist.

I do adapt some lenses that sony doesnt have, however, given the opportunity, I'de go native. Sony offers you very nice adaptability options should you decide to give their system a test drive. Pretty much any lens will work decent to very good. I adapt the tamron 28-75 f2.8 (light, 2.8, snapshot lens, inexpensive), tamron 70-200 f2.8 vc (inexpensive 2.8 I use once in a blue moon), 135 f1.8 Art (one and only wow portrait lens, most often event lens), Sigma 50 f2.8 1:1 macro (always nice having a macro lens around, since I dont do bugs found that 50 was better suited for me).

So I did the second guess thing last night in regards to the 7v3 and a9

If isold both my Rv2 and a9 i could get the rv3 and v3

But i won't I'm convinced a total new sensor is on Sony s horizon and i just don't think i gain anything now but a stop here or there and or a couple of focus pts. I better be a better photog and deal with those minor bumps from what i have.

I think Sony is ground breaking but really my r2 is still better than all but what the r3 and nikon 850?????

I'm waiting for that organic sensor with 5 more stops of DR!!!!

if only we can be happy and satisfied with what we got :-P

think of that Z battery!!! I think if it werent for smooth reflections, I would give up the R2 for an A7iii. I'm at peace with this release as I blew my camera spending load for the R3 last year, I'm good, dont have any envy GAS. Just waiting for the mythical 35 f2 and 135 f1.8 to finish up my all native kit.

I would imagine that the new A7III has an AA filter in it as well, unlike the A7R2 & A7R3. So the images won't be as sharp.

I’d prefer an aa filter @ 24MP and hope the a7III has one. More moire/false color issues at that resolution than at 42MP. I was always happy with the sharpness of my 5D III’s 22MP images.

True that. I grew up 60 miles south of Orlando. Kids love Disney and the yearly pass would be primo for those with a clutch of kids.

You should see what The Mouse gets for admission to the Parks now for non-residents!

Admission used to be the cheap part, and the mouse would make it up in food/bev, at the gift shops and on the golf course. Kind of like how Vegas used to make their money on in the casino and give away the buffet.

The first time I went to Disneyland in Anaheim, Ca. was 1956, back when they had those "E" Ticket rides. I was 11 at the time. :-)

I know most are begging for a range of new telephotos, but I would also really like to see a 24mm 1.4 GM. That could be an amazing lens imo. I always wanted to have the 24L II or the Nikon 24 G...just love the bokeh of close subjects with the wide-angle.

David, this seems to be the most obvious gap in the GM lens tree when I can set aside my lust for long, fast primes.

I enjoyed shooting at 24/2 on e-mount and now on a-mount, but I know that I would also enjoy having a faster alternative.

I can only imagine what that was like--even for an older child, it had to be akin to walking on the moon.

As a four-year-old in 1977, going to Magic Kingdom--just under a two-hour drive for us at the time--walking into those gates was an experience I will never forget.

Of course, this is a priceless experience for a child and even a parent, but I feel for families who spend a month's pay on their four days at the Parks (flight/room/food/park/transp).

No love for the "new" fe Sigma 24 f1. 4? I mean I know it's massive, but is we compare the FE 35 1.4 art vs the Sigma 35 art, a truly native version would be about the same size.
