Woodrow T. Duck

This is one of my favorite kind of ducks, as I'm sure it's most people's that have seen one.
One thing I never tire of is shooting Wood Ducks.

This was a highlight of the trip. Never seen a king vulture before. It was with some black vultures on a river bed. This is a immature

I saw this almost identical scene with a GC Grebe over the weekend. I was not able to get down to the level you did,. My shots were from a hide and are more so looking down on the bird. Graham your photo is brilliant and I like it very much and only wish I could of achieved a similar capture. Very Well Done indeed!

Looking at just a head portrait they resemble Secretary Birds which also have prodigious eyelashes. Love your images. Are you handholding your shots or using tripod/beanbag/other? Considering getting one of the big primes. Thank you for sharing your beautiful images for inspiration!!!!
