I would love to give you an answer, But I went from a 50D to the 80D! I never touched a 70D, or do to many BIF's! But when I do with the 80D using center metering, my blowouts are minimal .

Hmm... I'll have to do some more reading. Debating upgrading, you know how that goes!

My rule of thumb is to at least skip a generation, that is just so when I spend money like that I'm like WOW, not it's a little better! But that's me and I hate wasting money when it's so hard to make!!! LOL

Cheers,
Joe

Yeah I hear ya. Canon went to on chip adc with the 80d.

Found a good way of comparing here, just don't look at the D500 (70d vs D500 is.... um... it's a bloodbath!!!, 80d, not so bad)

I hear ya, I'm getting great results on the 70d, really should have bought that 500 F4 instead of the 5dmkiv

This is such a good general purpose, all-round camera/lens combination of versatility, image quality and lightness/carry-ability. It's always with me in the bush. I took these images a few days ago while wading through the Tabletop Swamp, a perched wetland in Litchfield National Park, Northern Territory, Australia.

White water lily, Nymphaea hastifolia.

The weather forecasters are calling it the Beast from the East - the wind which is bringing bitterly cold weather to the UK from Siberia. Early days yet, as we are told it's going to get worse. Still, it gives us some fairly rare (for us) snow photo opportunities...

I do wish my copy of this lens was this clear and vibrant on my 80d as yours.

Love this! Looks like a cross between modern art and cave art.
