She has told me that before, but to be honest I'm too scared to try that one lol

I was talking about needing a fast affordable 35mm prime for FF if I was to pick up an A73. The sigma is APS-c. My current 24mm gets me that Fov right now.if I went back to FF kit I’d need a 35/85 combo that won’t cost a fortune. The FE 85 exists, but we still need a 35.

Cory, what about keeping your FE24 as it would be about 36mm and adding the FE85?

Hmmmmmmm.....interesting idea. Would one loose pixels or resolution with that scenario?

Man, I shouldn’t have even started thinking about this.......

live on borrowed time, get the rokinon 35 for cheap and sell it later when a 35 f2 hits the market, DOF will be no worse than what you have now I think. The FE 85 is pretty stunning.

both rokinon 35 and sony 85 being discounted at the moment.

Oh wait, just remembered you would be in crop mode and therefore lower MP. Sorry about that! That detail completely slipped my mind. I was actually saying to myself why have I not bought the FE24 as my fast 35 answer? It’s been a long day!!

It's not my main landscape camera, but the convenience of having it handy makes the RX10 so fun to use. I stopped in the middle of the road and shot this out my drivers side window/

Congrats Travis. I have everything I need to qualify except a portfolio. I don't think my Flickr page of snapshots will cut it.

I was gonna ask is that portfolio a hard requirement? ?

Just heard from my friend that works at the local camera store that the A7mkiii will be in New Zealand for $3499NZ. That = $2521US. Someone is making some extra somewhere, even with the GST content added !!

I think the portfolio is a harder requirement than the gear.

I see it's being shipped to Bell Gardens. I was raised there and graduated BGHS in 1963. Go Lancers! :-)

well i thought i decided on the fe 35 1.4 and fe 85 1.8

but then i thought what about the sigma 35 1.4..

did some weight and size comparisons..

and then i noticed the fe 35 has an aperture ring ON the lens..

the 85 1.8 of course doesn't have it.. BUUUUT... the 85 1.4 gm does !!

:cry::cry:

i thought it was an easy choice between the 2 85's .. but now how much is an aperture ring worth to me?

I LOVE lenses with aperture rings on them

Gene, maybe give Format a try. I've heard good things about it. Or you can go the wordpress route.

Thanks Alfredo. I hope it has less to do about content than it does about quality.
