What brand of strip boxes are those? I shoot mainly with Rotaluxes, and I'm having a hard time matching the warm color they put out.

I need to check as these from the studio at my work place. Could be Elinchrom or Interfit with lightools grids. I wish I had 55" strip boxes.

Corporate Environmental portrait

I used two flashes for all of these. Must were one as main the other as one as a kicker but this space had a shop light so I used that as the kicker so used one flash as the main and the other as a background light. C and C welcome

Shot with extension tubes?

Posting a new photo of the rings, this time with my extension tubes and I found out how to get aperture to stay on the lens instead of resetting to f/2.8!

I reshot the rings I did a few weeks back. This time, by using black acrylic, I was able to obtain a nice reflection. With the addition of manual macro tubes (had them for years, but never happy with them) and finding out how to keep the aperture set, I was able to get right up to the set and focus in on the diamond while having nice falloff and not complete blur.

To keep the rings in place, I used blue tacky putty. To keep the aperture, set it in camera, and if you have a DoF preview button, press that while removing the lens (I did it, but if you break your lens, you are taking your own risk!), place lens on macro tube (aperture blades should still be closed, turn off camera, place entire lens with tubes on camera, and then power back on.

The modifiers on my speedlights are my poor-man Gary Fong's made from drawer liner.

Setup, Elinchrom maxilite with reflector at the bottom. Should have used another strobe in reflector's place but it was for the class to show how reflector works. For the actual shot, I think I moved in a 4x8 white board right behind her for the back ground. It is missing from the setup shot.

Yes that is with white inside. I for some reason don't like it. I prefer my Kacey (Mola clone) much better.

^^^^^ Ok...that is cool!

Is the camera ruined now with all that dust/residue or is that just surface smudge that is easily removable with no impact to camera?
