Hi Guys, I have discovered that the electronic level in the viewfinder and liveview has a fault on the vertical axis on my canon 5Dmkiv, as in stuck on pointing down..the horizontal works as normal, have tried everything to rectify this to no avail..Thanks in advance

Did it work to begin with? Some earlier models required a firmware update for proper operation, but one could assume they would be beyond that by now.

Mine works in either orientation but I have the latest firmware (1.0.4). I don't recall using the viewfinder level with original firmware however. As previously stated confirm you have latest firmware and see if that fixes it. Otherwise call Canon.
