Those first ones were from the original EOSM. There's a few here from the M6 which are a bit more recent (eg Silver Dollar). The original EOS-M with the EF-M 28mm f/3.5 IS STM macro lens - with LED ring-light switched on.Natural Australian gold nugget with a princess-cut Diamond. This was my first test picture taken with this lens.

Unlike sand, when it pours from one hand to the other, you can feel the weight shifting. It's incredibly heavy. My cat Quorra, resting on her favorite chair. I used a bounce-flash off the ceiling to light this shot. She's a quiet lady although sometimes she calls out when she thinks the house is empty.

Loving the cat shots... think I might stick the macro on my 7D2 for a while and keep it handy for a little while... <tuffty/>

As you have already noted, they're easily distracted and never seem to hold still. I sometimes wait until they're distracted - and that's assuming I have a camera on hand. These were both taken with the Canon PowerShot G1X (the original model) but I added a Closeup Lens (Canon 250D Closeup Filter) to the end of the lens. Quorra watching the street for signs of birds or other cats. She's a rescue and she's incredibly friendly. Mauii, our Australian Burmilla is a Second Generation of his kind. We paid about $400 for him for that reason... these days they sell for many thousands.... which is the vet bill I paid just a few months ago to remove some of Quorra's intestines after she ate a few strands of a synthetic wig. Mauii's about 76 years old in cat years... but he was about 30 (in cat years) when I took this picture of him headbutting my wife as a sign of affection. He's very special to us although he always sounds grumpy. That first shot is amazing! Chris
