Maybe it was mentioned earlier and I missed it, but the windows version of Raw Studio finally came out.

Too bad my laptop is at home.

I have no reason to look anywhere than Ps for that level of editing and retouching.

Geneva under the snow... Public transportation were a mess but it gave me the opportunity to freeze some moments (as well as my feet!).

so Capture One would be a lightroom replacement... how about photoshop? I use photoshop for composites, especially with images of my kids. I'm currently on the creative cloud suscription model for $9.99/month. I wouldn't mind ditching LR, but then I'd be giving up photoshop too.

Affinity Photo is one option for replacing Photoshop...

C&C always welcomed...
On my images, of course, and on my words as well--as long as it's constructive :).

There was a video using Affinity for uplifting shadow's.....it was terrible. I'm quite disappointed that there isn't a standalone LR 7

I guess the camera world is getting incredibly competitive. Now the hype of the cheaper Sony A73 is getting some excitement as fuji introduces the X-H1.

I hope this pushes Fuji even harder to improve the AF development. The A7mk3 now is considered a detuned A9. The high iso performance surpasses all of the A7S models!!

Things are gonna get more exciting....... :)

I'm using LR on Creative Cloud. I hadn't used my Fuji camera much over the previous year or so and since coming back, updating the firmware and using the newer versions of Lightroom, I do notice a difference ... but since I spent so long away from my Fuji this might not be the most indicative review. I use an X-Pro1.

There has been steady improvement with Fuji files, C1 is so much better though. Lightroom is very slow, still, but the rendering is not bad anymore

cant wait to see what they do with the a7s3 if that's how clean they got the a7iii to look..
i had the 7s2 and it was cleant through 51,200 colors took a bit of a hit but very usable,
if they keep it at 12mp but with a BSI sensor its going to be awesome .. hopefully with phase detect instead of just contrast detect.

the a7iii certainly does seem like a nice camera .. offering a lot more than Canon for $2000 vs the 6d2 , you're actually getting something that would be more inline with the 5d4.

as far has how it compares to Fuji..
well ive only had the xh1 for a little bit ,, testing around the apt.. (poorly lit apt.) and i can tell already AF is improved , i'm pointing at all the low lit/low contrast nooks in my apt and focus is being acquired a lot more consistently than the xt2..
as far as tracking .. well i don't really do much moving subsjects .. (street shooting is the most movement ) so i cant say .
but this really does seem like an improvement over the xt2 in terms of how it feels and handles , we know its the same sensor (i haven't even done anything with raws , ) so i'm not saying the photos will be better (DR , iso) but to me it feels a lot better ..
and that's not just "new camera honeymoon" feelings.. I've got the a7r3 .. and the minute i got it in my hands and started setting it up i got that "yep its a sony " feeling .. as much as i love the raw files that come out of the sony to me it doesn't feel as good in the hand as the xh1 or xt2.. ergonomics and usability / button layout etc.

the a7iii is certainly something to consider if you coming from dslr and are looking to mirrorless ... or are with Fuji already and are in constantly very low light situations

but i think there are certain things about the Fuji that some might consider a better fit for them.. even the xh1 now being about as big as the newer gen a7 cameras ..
sony had built up a good base for lenses.. so we cant criticize so much there anymore..
but Fuji has a very nice collection as well , from the not so small to f2 primes that are so easy to carry around and weather sealed.
plus the ergonomics , and the easy to use button/dials layout

as I've said before ,, i sometimes use the a7r3 because i want the raw files (DR / or low light).. but i'd always rather be shooting a Fuji

I think if I’m ever going to be purchasing a Sony the A73 will be a very high consideration. Some even say that they have put the A9 auto Focus algorithm into the new A73.

Months back a friend of mine was testing the new XH one before it was introduced to the public. He is not a fan of the Fuji world but he was rather intrigued that they have improve the autofocus system .

I honestly never even looked at Sony world as a high potential in my gear bag. After looking at the specs it would be a perfect model that next Fuji XH2 should be .

For my needs to be A73 has the sweet spot of 24 megapixels and is rated the cleanest low light performing Sony of all times including A7s series. 600+ Photos on just one battery.

So far my only concern with Sony is low light auto Focus accuracy with a speed light .

Interesting competition is all over the market now !!!!

"Some say"? Sony themselves say it... it's got the same system, but with more contrast detection points, but a slower processor. Seems the AF will be essentially equal between the two depending on the situation (a7iii likely better in low light with the additional contrast detection points).

If "specs" told you everything there is to know about a camera then Leica wouldn't sell any cameras and the Samsung NX1 wouldn't have failed.

The a7iii is certainly an interesting camera, my friend's a7Riii is pretty beastly too. Still hasn't really interested me though because they haven't fixed the main thing I left that system for... the shooting experience. The a7 lineup is continually moving the direction of just running parallel with DSLRs. They're getting bigger, heavier, and more like the ergonomics of a DSLR... leaving me completely un-interested.

If Sony would release an a5S model that's sized and laid out similarly to their a6500 with the sensor of the a7S (something I never complained about with that camera) and added some more mechanical knobs/dials like Fuji uses, they'd perhaps peak my interest again.
