Awesome bike in an awesome location. I do think you could have showcased it better though: Would be nice to see the whole bike from the drive side.

...just got back from ride just now ( well, it took me 45 minutes to clean the bike )

honestly, it great to change up things a little

i ride on the road almost daily and this new gravel bike has brighten things up a bit

the fire roads of Southern California and some single track trails have presented new welcomed challenges

Is that a problem? I usually shift to an easy gear when I end the ride so it's easier to get going again.

FEC

....too funny!

eddie Rule #26 // Make your bike photogenic.
When photographing your bike, gussy her up properly for the camera.
Some parameters are firm: valve stems at 6 o’clock. Cranks never at 90 or 180 degrees.
Others are at your discretion, though the accepted practices include putting the chain on the big dog, and no bidons in the cages.

....at the end of the day; I love photography and I love riding my bikes too

great to see other photographers sharing images of their bikes

Is March....NYC cycling season has just started officially yesterday with the Grant's Tomb Crit. This year race is also for the NYS Crit championship too. First time using 2 lights, off camera strobe for the shoot. It was cold in the low 30s and windy. No rain and very dry condition.

Winner of the NYS Crit Champion in the pro12 field. Scott Savory from team Jamison Capital Cannondale.

The finish was using one speedlite given that the area was too crowded.

Second speedlite is on my right and slightly behind the riders. It was lighting up the riders on their lower left side.

The late 2 men break from the cat2/3 field. They were later caught with one to go. It was a bunched sprint finish at the end.

Oops...and my bike of course...which I am eagerly waiting for warmer weather to ride out to NJ......

Is spelled Montecci. Is one of the local racers' brand. He designed it and this was the 2011 model. I am not sure where the bike was made however. He is very active in sponsoring the Dominican Republican racing scene. His current model is very similar to the latest from Trek.

This model is carbon and not even weighting over 900g. With this current setup without the water bottle, the bike weights about 16lb. These aren't even light parts. I can spend another $2k to save a pound or two. :) Very, very stiff. Now, is better with 25mm tires. It corners like it is on rail. Very stable in 40mph descent...look at that oversize head tube. very nimble and responsive...
