Using this lens combined with a Kenko c-af teleplus SHQ 1.5x tc (nonreporting so no need to tape) to enable some f8 autofocus on my 7D. (AF works on right, left, upper, and lower zones)

RAW images were opened in faststone with no sharpening applied. I think its a testament to how sharp and capable this lens is

100% crops with the 1.5x SHQ tc

A couple images again using the SHQ with the lens wide open. The second bird had an interesting color morph. (These were cropped to an 11x14 photo ratio)

I love this lens. I'm just now starting to be able to get outside with it.

All I hear about this lens before I bought it was how great it is for BIF. I thought, why not try it out with motorsports? And even better yet, a motorsport I've not shot, with a lens I hadn't yet had a chance to try out since receiving it just a week prior!!!

Missed focus on occasion. I'm gonna say user error. I have that problem with all my glass. Plus I couldn't keep the focus point in one spot. Again, poor technique on my part. But when it hit, it nailed it!
