Life is very difficult for the bison. Out in Hayden Valley we saw lots of ribs showing and a lot of difficulty getting through the deep snow.

Like the top one best. It is like he is looking at the viewer.

Craig...oh he was giving us dirty looks for sure. He then decided to come up the hill we were watching him from and he had his tail up & horns down. We all scrambled into the snowcoach for sure.

Golden Eye on take off. Wolves waiting for the Bison they attacked to drop. The bison run into the river as the wolves won't expend the energy it takes to manage the current. After a couple of hours this bison made its way out of the water and dropped. The wolves made a quick meal of it as there were 16 of them. We were 1/4 mile away.

He looks a bit grumpy, must be cold!

Lovely shots Maureen, what an experience it must have been.

Hey Maureen, I've seen your photos, and thought them terrific. My personal favorite is the one with the eagle. I don't blame you for wanting to experience that again. If I was in your shoes, I'd do the same thing:-)

I'll bet you enjoyed the snow, since it's a rare occurrence where your at, and even here in SoCal. When we went to Klamath Falls, OR about 2 years ago for Christmas, it snowed for 9 out the 10 days we were there. I always wanted a White Christmas, I got it. I enjoyed it, even if it was cold.

It looks like fun, but I won't be able to do anything like that for at least a couple years!

Thanks Lynn.....I really went for the experience more than anything. I think our guide was a bit annoyed with me when he asked why I wasn’t shooting much...I told him 3-4 shots of anything is enough since I had no desire to go home & cull through thousands of shots. He made some comment to me about never too many photos & of course I retorted that the eyes are the best lenses & I don’t like seeing the whole world through the end of a camera lens. In the end I only took 839 pictures while others took over 6000! As for the snow, I have lived in it for 9 years on the east coast & I don’t Like it but I didn’t have to do any driving so I was good. It was dang cold though...most mornings were -7 up to 9 degrees with highs of 26-28. Brrrrr.

Mark, you are too nice for words. Seriously it was almost difficult not to take some good pictures, even in crappy weather & light. We just had so many opportunities and the scenery was gorgeous. I wish somebody would sign up and go with me next year. There are still 7 spots open.
