Honestly, this is probably the best $7 you can spend. It will tell you where to shoot at which times of the year and at what times of day.

Keep in mind that the Mist Trail, Glacier Point, and Tioga Road will be closed. There's plenty to see in the valley though.

Hate to see flooding but it can make more interesting images. Please pardon the degradation that happens posting black and white images here. It really is tack sharp.

Great image. Flooding is such a tragic event. But does make for some powerful images.

If I had the fullsize RAW I might be able to spot my old home in Encinitas. Man I miss that place, I think I do spot Swami's, but hard to tell exactly. I can't believe that was over a decade ago that I lived there. Perfectly weather every day except for the May Gray, June Gloom, and a week or so when the Santa Ana's blow. I wish I had the cameras I have now when I lived there, because it's such a beautiful place, not just the beaches, but driving inland towards Ramona and other places in eastern SD County. Thanks for sharing.
