Great capture on the first image, the second one of the flying fox I'm not so sure about, I'm guessing it's a boy.

Not sure what ya mean, but I can say that once you spend 4 hours x 3-6 days a week in the field, then you'll simply have lucky days.

Often times I ask others what they saw as they're headed out, so about half the photos I had help on by others sharing locations. Good to be social at times!

Also certain locations ya go back to often, over the years, you get a feel for what hides out where, and how to approach. Some are skittish no matter what, while others don't seem to care. Raccoons seem to not be very scared of people, not sure if that's good or bad!!

Happy huntin!

I believe that’s a quote from Guardians of the Galaxy... Rocket Raccoon is trying to understand the rules he is supposed to live by... great images, and I can understand why that quote came to mind ߘ

First time I've seen moire with this lens (the grey on the duck at the rear. Seems like it's the duck to blame as there's hundreds of images on google with the same problem and they can't all be using this lens :-)

Honestly I've tried to get the shot with the tail up but they never do it around me.
