Took my Mavic Pro Drone out to The Skillion at Terrigal, NSW, for a fun afternoon.
The first image shows the White Poppies '43' planted up on the Skillion.
This was done to bring to the public's attention about the Domestic Violence problem.
I didn't know what it symbolised until I asked and was told that 43 women died last year through Domestic Violence in Austalia.

The second photo was taken looking straight down over the Skillion Point.

I didn't know about the display when I went out but was shocked to learn this terrible statistic.

About 2 metres I think. Even though they are wild birds, we give them a teaspoon of sugar most mornings... so they know us well and are fairly tame!

Something a bit unusual from the subtropics... bioluminescent fungi that glow green and are easily seen with the naked eye. Often they are only seen in rainforest areas, but after the recent rain they have started appearing in suburban backyards in Brisbane!

I didn't know those little fellas like to go to the beach. Love this photo.

Thanks! There are so many fantastic locations in Australia. This is one of them. Every part of Australia I've visited so far is stunning. We will keep coming back.

My daughter turned 2 that day. She fed the 2 dolphins by hand. Memories that will last a lifetime.

This Southern Boobook (Ninox boobook) has decided to spend the day roosting under my building at work for the last few days, so I took my camera in and photographed it today.
