Love the background colours as well as the bird!

Thank you very much. I have a very long way to go to come close to many masters on this thread. But that gives me motivation to keep trying.

So, max image size is now 1600px. Cool. Let's try that then.
Just a blackbird. Taken week before last during our three days of winter...

EDIT: Images look a bit softer than they should.

I like them both, and even though that is "Just a blackbird" to you, it's different for us. :)

I REALLY like the new 1600 pixels thing, it makes a huge difference in seeing what should, or, could be seen.

Thanks very much, Randy.

I too like the 1600px thing. I upload my images to flickr as 1600px jpegs and now I don't have to do a second downsize to 1280px for POTN.

But both birds are noticeably softer than the original jpeg. With this new version of AMASS, Pekka has given us sharpening tools so when uploading an image you can choose between several modes of sharpening: low/default/medium/strong. I think those are it. I chose the "default" setting I think. That clearly softens images.

Ohhh, I did not realize that you can sharpen them, I'll look into that.
I have really just succumbed to the fact that if I upload a jpeg it will downgrade, so I am a beaten down person now... heheh

Thanks for letting me (us) know.
