Hike is technically is illegal as the trail is not maintained and is deemed very dangerous. If caught, there could be fines upwards of $1,000. From what I heard people do it all the time though and fines are rarely enforced. Very cool. Looks like that is it. Canon EOS M6 Mark II - EOS R5

Pippan Cream of the Crop More info | Mar 11, 2018 01:29 | #322 I like the juxtaposition of the decrepit old stairway with the distant, modern highway-on-legs. Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Mar 11, 2018 03:09 | #323 randy98mtu wrote in post #18582235 This is amazing. Where is this taken? Thanks. This is Haiku Valley on Oahu, Hawaii. It was the location of an old Omega tracking station that used multiple massive cables that ran across the valley for tracking aircraft. This was the stairs used for maintenance of the anchor pads and other equipment. There is another stairway on the other side of the valley that was reconditioned for hiking. It is more difficult to get on this side of the valley because you have to hike at least a 6 hours from behind this valley. Or you can just simply land a helicopter on an old anchor pad. Aloha,
