I just realized that my 7DII is sitting with a way too old firmware (1.0.2).
I was trying to find the list of firmwares until 1.1.2 which is latest along with the fixes/updates in each. I will continue to look for them.
In case anyone has the list/link, please do post.
I have no apparent issues with the camera and in two minds if I should update it to 1.1.2.

EDIT : Found the information on Canon site for all the updates. Now the question remains whether I should upgrade it to 1.1.2 or not

I would suggest... If it ain't broke don't fix it. If you are not having problems you are not missing anything.. just my opinion

Shack in Crooked Tree, Belize. I think the 7D2 captured the textures nicely.

So many people have the same opinion concerning cameras, computers and etc. I just don't understand it. I have always updated to the latest OS and firmware (I'm on a Mac) My Camera, currently a 7D MK II has always been on the latest firmware update. I've never experienced an issue with this regimen.

I had a brilliant 7D2... its story is well known. I updated the firmware.... and what had been an amazing camera for 10 months started producing dreck. That's why I'm a bit leery of it. I install updates for my computer, PS4, etc... but not cameras unless it's fixing a particular problem.

Canon ended up replacing it with a brand new unit... so I guess I wasn't just "seeing things that did not exist". ;)

Sigma 150-600. Original firmware worked with Canon 1.4TCIII. Then Sigma released 'updated' firmware. Canon 1.4TCIII no longer worked.
Just one specific example where updating firmware can be regrettable.

Nice Lester. Is it 'just' a Kingfisher? It looks very similar to our Azure kingfisher.
