The kid's foot is still on the ground at release. I believe that's pretty uncommon and desired form - or so my kid tells me... Very nice shot!

Normally I am shooting college baseball. I dropped down about as far as you can go to shoot my grandson's very first T-ball game. He had a blast playing.

My Grandson Blake throwing the first pitch at our first HS game of the season. This park is one of the finest we will play at and the worst to photograph. The design is not photographer friendly and the weather was terrible so I hope to improve my photos further into the season. Normal for here on March 16th, it was freezing when we began the 2 1/2 hour drive to the park, fog and mist throughout the day with a high of 41 degrees F. A few snowflakes now and then with a 15 mph wind help sky rocket hot chocolate and coffee sales.

There is no better use for good photography equipment than to shoot T-ball. It is the most fun, especially the first game.

I just thought it would be fun to try and get a release shot with the action in front helping to tell the story... one of my efforts on that front.

Really nice photos! You and the Doc (McNeese72) take some of the best baseball images I've seen - sharpness and composition.

I've been playing with this angle for quite a while - I think it's the most interesting composition for shooting the pitcher. Here's one from the other night...
