I would suggest... If it ain't broke don't fix it. If you are not having problems you are not missing anything.. just my opinion

I've never had an issue with updates on any of my cameras but Im not seeing anything in the firmware that I would see as an improvement on where I am with 7DII, the camera does a great job, if that stops I will update it

That is exactly my philosophy.. But I have had issues after updates.

Me too! I have caught myself looking @ the Canon 5D IV lately. I've also been eyeing the Sony A7III.

Yes ... Both interesting and at opposite ends of the camera world. I'm not sure what to say about the A7III yet. The detail is quite good.. AF ?? I'm not sure of..

I think the 7D3 should be an interesting camera...... but once bitten.... I would wait until the dust settles. You know what I did.... though it pained me. I haven't put it through its paces yet, but around the house, it's been proving itself to me.

I hope to get out this weekend and take it to more challenging venues.

sadly I am no longer in the position to upgrade, we just dont earn enough anymore, My 5DIII Im very happy with but I would not use it for distant wildlife. My 7DII is not perfect but I work with what I have and can produce some really nice work with 7DII, I think Im slowly getting past the gear obsession although Id love a mirror-less Fuji interchangeable lens camera

Being on a limited budget is something most of us have to navigate. I've been buying used stuff so that has helped.

I've learned that excellent for one is no where near excellent for another. Personal preference is just to vast thank goodness.

But these two are excellent in their own right.

I read this morning the DSLR is dead.... and the new Mirrorless Digital Camera is the only logical way to go.

Nice shot as usual but what happened to the one that ended up on Facebook?
