I am sure she is, but her feather coloring was a lot different, much more muted and gray.

A couple gear related comments while in the middle of Disney.

1. I think my infatuation with the 50L and L glass in general is over. As highly regarded as this lens is for its rendering, shooting next to FE35 1.4, it doesn't really hold its own. That Zeiss microcontrast and color and the bokeh of the FE 35 really are a cut above. I'm also missing my 85GM for its bokeh. 50L bokeh is great near MFD, but not so great when you frame loosely.

2. I left the gimbal in the room the past couple of days. Mostly because the new IBIS in the a7riii is really good for video. It won't stabilize while walking, but that's sort of a specialized need for video as moving too much is distracting. But handheld in a stationary position with very small deliberate motion works really well without the gimbal.

3. The 100-400 is really awesome. AF is impressive, especially since eye af is so sticky even at 400mm. Really sharp at the long end even wide open

4. 12-24 is a fun lens. I think for these extreme wide angles, a zoom is the way to go. Very big difference in FOV, particularly with regards to perspective distortion between 12, 14, 16, and 18mm, and it's very situational which focal length you use. I've had issues with primes in these focal lengths because they are such a commitment and if you're stuck with the wrong focal length, you basically ruin the shot. The zoom makes it easier to walk and pull off these extreme FOV when they make sense. The size of the 12-24 is a bonus as it's actually a practical lens to bring around

The gimbal is fairly large and obnoxious compared to the arm rig I have, however, at home, I have it ready to go for home clips, and the more I use it, the more I'm impressed. It produces stunning video, even if I speed them up on occasion. Handheld, sped up shots can look horrible, the gimbal helps a ton in this regard. Software stabilization chops off way too much of the frame. May get more into the editing aspect and use higher end tools like final cut...

that 12-24 is a fun lens, love it to death, but that front element forces me to baby the lens. Generally holster and keep it protected.

Did that body have sensor stabilization?
Might change things up a bit.
The gel-sticks are good for dust/hair but for smears of oil they are not as good as wet cleaning.

Since the cameras have in-body stabilization, the sensor will move during cleaning. Instead of picking the Sensor Gel Stick straight up, we recommend to detach it gently from the side and be attentive during the process of cleaning, so that the IBIS system does not get moved too much. We have tested the product on the A7 II and A7R II successfully, but one must perform the procedure with extreme care on such moving sensors. If the gel sticks a bit too much, please detach it slowly from the side instead of moving it straight up, as shown in the videos.'

For the above reason I've never used mine. Sad? Paranoid

the only cool thing there is you can start with TTL then click a button and it will give you the equivalent values in manual mode.

you can also control the zoom on individual speedlight. dedicated button for each group.

i don't like that it does not have a hotshoe anymore though.

Vinz, have you tried using your Godox 860 to light up various parts of a room and then blend the images in post? I'm considering doing this for an upcoming job at a dentist office.
