Question: when using the 2x3 format, what image size (pixel dimensions) do you upload to your phone to be uploaded to IG?

Instagram only shows 600x749px portrait dimensions, although for some crazy reason they recommend much larger. I don't give any more than I have to, although I'm not sure what size LRInstagram uploads.

Post your accounts if you reply. Mine is mostly boring concert photography but if you're into that sort of thing:

It's interesting that it mentions how well it removes watermarks.

Nice feature.......if you're into stealing someone else's work.

This is why my resolution stays at the absolute minimum.

The item of interest being linked was the article:

Instagram Image Sizes and Dimensions in 2018

Not software being advertised.

This might be relevant to OP.
On previous week I hear two statistics on local radio. Usually data like this is not Canadian but repeated from USA media.
First thing I hear was about using of "things". 80% were using FB as social media, and less than 20% used Snapchat and IG. Surprisingly SC is in use more than IG.
Second one was what 40% millenniums deleted their public accounts. They are not on FB for sure and it now feels next to Yahoo retirement community.
Our 24 years old is using FB sporadically to repost some political and else things, but it is her IG account where she post her work and getting asked for photo sessions.
Another two young ones are not using FB at all. And youngest at kindergarten age only knows how to play minecraft and watch youtube. :)
Complicated. But it seems if you want to catch the photo wave, IG is the thing, not FB.

Yeah...my audiences are not kids. Middle age men, most of them are professionals, racing bikes..expensive bikes at best. Yeah, I am going to use IG more this year. Need to figure how to use it effectively since my iphone service has no data plan. I have to go to somewhere with free wifi to upload photos...if I want the photos to get uploaded quickly. Otherwise, I have to wait until I am home....

This is only natural. Instagram cuts through the noise and focuses on art. Facebook focuses on the conversation, memes and bots.

Can't you just upgrade to a plan with unlimited data? It seems like that would solve the uploading complications and enable you to do it wherever, whenever. Almost any plan that I have ever heard of allows you to just pay more to get an upgrade.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I could....I have to see. If I am strictly posting processed photos on my Instagram account, there is no need for me to take real time photos with my phone...:) Even if I do take photos with my phone, I don't need to post them in real time.....hehehe..

With the stories feature in IG you can post a story "on location" to show what you're up to. I see a lot of people using that feature exactly that way.
