Judging is going to be very difficult..... Here's another shot from the river yesterday. It was snowing so hard for the first mile or so that we could barely see. Here one of me in the run out of the first big drop. Ran that one virtually blind! The NF Payette is a world renowned 15mile section of big class V white water. The flow in these shots is about 1100 cubic feet per second. I'd call it "low end of a medium flow". Spring and summer this thing can really get cranking. 3000-4000 CFS is not uncommon with ~2000 being the norm. We paddled it at >9000 some years ago during record high water year. I love ferns, love the greens, and the textures of them. I have never seen them this big.
