Hi all,

Orion is setting in the west in the evenings at this time of year, which places it over the city buildings as seen from Kangaroo Point in Brisbane. So I took advantage of the clear skies and went in to try and capture it using HDR imaging... and here is the result. The stars are of course much fainter than the lights of the city, but they are there!

This is a panorama of 9 HDR images captured in portrait orientation at 16mm, stitched using Microsoft ICE. Each HDR image is a combination of 30, 8 and 2 sec exposures at f/9 and 200 iso.

And if you were wondering, the Story Bridge was lit up in green for St Patrick's Day.
