I rented it and found the weight to be pretty much the same as by 24-70 F 2.8. The size was slightly smaller than the 24-70. Canon 6D; Canon 135mm f2; Sigma 85mm f1.4 EX; Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro; Sigma 50mm f1.4 EX; Canon 70-200 f4.0 IS; Tamron 24-70 f2.8; Canon 17-40mm f4; Speedlite 430EXII.

Only negative thing I can see is the Weight/Size? Or am I missing anything? Anyone gone from the Canon 50/1,4 to the Sigma 50/1,4 and have any drawbacks with this? Will the size/weight just be a theoretical problem? /Jocce I upgraded to the 50Art from the Canon f/1.4, IQ is so much better on the Sigma. Weight was different but not obnoxious IMO. Website

Weight and size may be a drawback but quality wise, Canon doesn't match Sigma on this focal length IMO. I can see that being a letdown...what made you go that route? Website

rejay14 Goldmember More info | Mar 11, 2018 10:35 | #1302 I had the Canon 50 1.4 and was unable to get decent focus out of it. Traded up to the Sigma 1.4 Art and couldn't be happier. Now the only time I miss is because of the shallow DoF. Amazing lens. 1DX Mark II, 5D Mark IV, 40D,Rebel XT
