Now that is a crop. I love extreme crops. Noe work!

Thanks DP. It's actually not as much of a crop as it may seem - less than 50%. The 600 w/ 2x TC brings it in pretty well. :)

Honestly, this crop looks better than my 7D2 w/o any cropping.

Just joined the 5D mk IV family coming from the 6D classic. Shot this sunrise on my way to work, looking towards Irvine's Great Park.

And that is why I sold my 7d2 after getting the 5d4!

That place sure has changed since I was stationed there in the 80’s (when it was known as MCAS El Toro...)

Scrumhalf,
Sorry, just saw your reply. The lines you see are attached to a mooring ball (which was under the ice).

After lurking through all 313 pages of this thread, I jumped from my 6D to the 5D4, a week before the 2018 air show at Luke AFB. This is a lot of camera to master, and I have a long and wonderful journey in front of me. After a few thousand frames at the air show, I learned:

The combination of 100-400L II + 1.4x III is magical on this body
My choice of position on the flightline, in reference to the sun angle, was not optimal
My hands aren't as steady as I thought
This AF system is pure sorcery

Yes, I froze the prop on the P-51 for the heritage flight, but I wasn't going to risk motion blur on this mix of aircraft. It was a trade I was happy to make.
