Even top notch units fail. I had the same problem with one of my Integras several years ago. But that's where and when you appreciate having chosen a top brand over an elcheapo one: not just the warranty but the quality of the service. I'm sure you'll be rolling in no time, Annie. 8-)

Yes, I should have it back in less than two weeks. I was so relieved there was a two year warranty as I had had it one year and one week and I was sure it was out of warranty. Imagine my surprise when the vendor informed me it was 2 years for Profoto. I'm sure it's the same in the US.

Arrived yesterday. :)

This demo Pro-B2 off eBay is illuminating itself with a MultiSpot @ 100J. The sheer mass of this pack makes my AcuteB feel like tin foil!

Don't know what I'm looking at, but I like it. :) Brilliant use of the pavement background, too. Thumbs up for Butch!

There's never enough light for birding, so I put one and one together: bring a whole studio on my back. Used Nikon D500 and Nikkor 800/8 for 1200mm of reach, full Wimberey gimbal, AcuteB pack. The peregrine was three storeys up and even with a NarrowBeam dish, I needed full power (600J) to get a decent exposure of f/11, ISO 200. Of course, ambient light is irrelevant with a strobe—which is a good thing because it was midnight!

Tomorrow, I'll work on catchlights, some fill and perhaps a b/g gel. Anyone have a toothpick? :)

I got called Friday evening from a client who had to put their dog down Monday, the day after Father's Day. They had no family photos of the dog and were desperate. I stopped rearranging my garage, showered and showed up.
Trucked my C-stand, 5DIV, 1DXII and Profoto B1 across a field full of ticks. Damn those B1's perform!!!

B1s, they take a ticking right before Fido stops licking.

Sorry. :(. I know...too soon.

C&C always welcomed...
On my images, of course, and on my words as well--as long as it's constructive :).

That's awful...yet well-said. I sense a bit of a Shakespearian quandry...
