Mar 25, 2018 16:02 | #2479 When summer comes, Coney Island in Brooklyn is crowded and hot and noisy. On a not so nice end of winter day, it is a bit more subdued. This was day #2 of the opening of Luna Park, one of the amusement areas, but it was cold, windy, brisk, and a few snowflakes could be seen.

Later we moved up to 241st St we would get off at 180th St and walk to the zoo now I'm thinking 177th St would be closer. When I was older many a time I would take a date to the zoo spend the day and you could rent a rowboat just above the falls in your photo. Left the city 49 years ago and moved to CT about 96 miles away. Now I just come down to go to Woodlawn Cemetery where my parents are interned. Still the same but they don't rent the rowboat anymore.
