Having some problems uploading to Flickr today so here's a couple from the masses of pictures I have waiting from Poland ... these are both from Warsaw. During the trip my camera got rained on fairly heavily, splashed by some puddle water, snowed on, and generally just cold. Battery life was excellent considering. 23mm F/2 was on board most of the time barring one day in Krakow when it was pouring down and I wanted a camera I could easily store in a waterproof coat. Between the walking and the numerous trains we caught traversing the country from North to South and back, I'm glad I had a small and light camera because I think otherwise my back would have been buggered.

We spent a lot of time on trains - Warsaw to Krakow and back, plus a day trip to Olsztyn, in essentially three days ...

Funny because I very nearly binned it on the camera, and almost ignored it when processing too. I wasn't quite happy with it being the back side of his head. The light and the raindrops just about saved it for me. Anyway, it's nice to see a very different opinion, so thanks.

Stick your X-T1 in M focus mode and choose a shutter speed, ISO and aperture. Now try shooting quick successive shots. Then work in each of those settings one by one. You'll know what is causing the slow down soon enough.

so i did that. Its the AF that is causing the delay. Shutter speed was above 1/250+ in MF it would fire off shots quick and little delay between each. in single shot mode in bright sunlight it was giving delays between each shot so i guess the AF was redoing its full focus adjustment for each shot. Kinda bummed by that. So far this is the one negative I found with the body. Does the Xt2 offer a faster response in single shot for shot to shot.

Everything about the new cameras is faster.

Try setting the camera to high performance mode and the release/focus menu setting to release. You can set up back button focus and use manual focus mode so the camera only focuses when you ask it to.

its always been in HP mode and I have it in release priority

Taken a few years ago by my [probably about 7 at the time] daughter, we were out snapping in the local woods. She just found her old camera after it got packed away when we moved house a few years ago. It's a Fuji!

Received my "new to me" 50-140. Gave it a test run shooting a JV soccer game last night, but was having issues. Cropping at ISO 1600+ was giving me all sorts of weird skin textures and lack of any detail. They were fine at full resolution, but just didn't crop well at all. I normally shoot the games with a 7D and 300/4 (all the way to ISO 6400) and focus on mid to far field action, however I never experience the upper ISO texture issues when cropping like I was last night (focusing on closer action w/ the 50-140). Still need to put it through its paces, but I was expecting more at the field. The EVF experience and tracking was definitely nicer than when I tried my X-T1 and 55-200 at soccer, however I don't see me putting my Canon combo away unless I can get some level of cropping out of these upper ISO files. I have to work out my strap situation as well. The Optech sling attached to a body lug and the lens foot was a little cumbersome. That all being said, I'm really looking forward to recital time and portraits where I think this glass will really shine.

One issue I had as well... I had the body or lens lockup on me at one point. I could browse the camera menus and do playback, however nothing would happen when I pressed the shutter button (no AF, no shutter release). Power cycling the camera fixed it. Everything was purchased used within the last week and updated to the latest firmware (X-T2, booster grip, 50-140). I only experienced it once last night, however it has me a little worried since its used gear. Anyone experience anything like this?

I haven't experienced the lock ups but from reading on the Fuji X forums it seems the culprit might be the SD card. Many users were experiencing lockups when using Lexar cards but only when using the booster grip with boost mode turned on.

Worst case scenario you might need to have the main board replaced.

I second this, try out another card. I've had issues with one of my cards in the past that were similar, can't remember what brand the card was.

I also have a similar and often worse issue with my X-T1 when using adapted lenses. The screen will flicker on and off and then the camera will lock up completely... reset fixes it, but still really annoying.

As for the high ISO cropping; what software are you using to edit with? What sharpening/noise reduction settings?

i've had the xt2 lock up on me once about a week or 2 after purchase, but this was where the screen stayed in the menu and would not change or shut off. i had to pull the battery. that was the only time though and
i've always used sandisk extreme pro sd cards with the xt2 which is supposed to work well.
There is know issue with the xt2 and xh1 as well with not behaving well with certain sd cards .
i've never had an issue with adapted lenses with the Fuji , but i have had my sony's lock up when using adapting old manual lenses
