Very true. I have a soft spot for McDonalds fries (no salt) and their Mocha Frappe.:-)

That's it !! Thanks Ed.
Just excellent proof the RX10iv can do it all.....well OK low low light.
BUT if I ever get the chance I'm going to shoot Orion with the Ioptron, can't get any lower light than that.

If you do any kind of night or low light photography, that is where the RX10 and its 1" sensor start to fall short fairly quickly. I still use a Fuji system for a lightweight landscape kit, and kept my 7D2 and 5D4 as I still have a 500mm f4 for when I need that kind of reach with low light capability and/or am planning a full on photo safari. The RX10 is a great "stick it in the center console" camera to have with me at all times, and one I can handhold all day long. I'm going to see how well it works for auto racing next month at Sonoma Historic races where I usually carry the 7D2 and a 300 2.8. Will be an interesting experiment. Bottom line is that I have yet to find the "one" setup that can do it all really well.

The only thing I could suggest is to rent one from the fine folks at Lensrentals.com and see how it works for you.

Thanks for the input Ed much appreciated. I very rarely find myself trying to shoot in low light - however this does raise a question... would using a tripod and keeping the iso down give reasonable low light images given a static scene? Also a good idea regarding renting one. Off to look for a company in UK that does rental ;-)a

i tried long exposure on my M43 Panasonic LX100 on a tripod. it's creating a lot of hot pixels. LENR helps though. Tripod is not a bad idea. it should be the first thing you should have.

What trigger do you use? Do you have a BTS of your setup?

I just recently placed an order for the pluto tigger and valve, but apparently it will be awhile before I receive it.

More youth AAU hoops.

I'm fairly happy with how my kit worked for it, although a 24-70 2.8 is always ideal for baseline work.

I used wide AF@12 FPS and overall I felt the system made good choices with some exceptions, like the second picture where it grabbed the trailing defender instead of the ball handler. The ability to crop and keep clean files is huge for indoor sports work for non-zoom shooters like me.

The gym had very inconsistent lighting, like many recreation gyms do, but that's where DXO helps.

And where's that Superman suit when you need it! :-)

Great capture. Looks like he's having fun helping you out there.
