I hate having no camera. Sold all my gear to fund the A7iii and patiently waiting for the release date. Hoping I've made the first batch on release. If not, it will be another few weeks of waiting.

The sunrises and sunsets have been stunning down here in Auckland for the past 2 weeks. Can't wait to get back out and shoot them!

Very interested in the Pluto trigger. Will be keeping an eye on the posts about that for sure. I love water collision shots. Have shot water drops with my old 6D, but never done a collision shot.

Got into my jobsite town early on Wednesday, had time to go out and catch sunset...10 Stops with Formatt Hitech 6 and 4...I need to just buy the 10 already, the color is so much more true with them.

I’m at South Padre Island on vacation with my family. We visited the local birding and nature center today. Awesome place and lots of nice birds too. There was even an eagle but it wasn’t a bald eagle. I had no camera with me unfortunately. I saw one older man with a Sony a99 and a telephoto lens. Still we had a good time walking around and watching the birds hunt for food.

Here is a quick iPhone shot

Learning a bit (very little bit) on luminosity masking--on my own and not using plug-ins. Thought I'd
revisit a shot-

Travis, you were right about the low light AF performance of the FE 16-35 GM. It performed poorly at sunrise this morning. I had to manually focus. I didn’t want to risk changing lenses on the beach so I kept using. Granted it was very dark out there. The lens also had a weird issue where it would hunt and rack focus back and forth when there was more available light. Restarting the camera solved the issue but it was disconcerting. It’s rock solid during good light though.

Sounds just like my experience with it...really put me off the lens.

Agree. For such an expensive lens, I’m surprised that it behaves this way.
