Nantahala National Forest off the Blue Ridge Parkway. What impresses me is the performance of the 5D4 at ISO 2000 on a shot of this type.

Home sweet home planet.

This was done with 36 images taken with a Canon 5DMkIII and a Sigma 12-24 held in portrait orientation. Exif: 1/200s, f/8, fl 20mm, ISO 200. Pano was created in Lightroom, and the "planet" was created in Photoshop. Given this is a pano, I hope it's okay to include it here. Enjoy!

Thank you! There are people who join groups on Flickr, 500px, and probably other sites, who create these. They're called planet panoramas.

Nice! How did you capture the images, pano head? What did you use for stitching? I've done a few of these tiny planets with the Phantom 4 Pro, assembled in Microsoft ICE, Fun to do!

Thank you!!!!

Image capture was hand-held. I tried to maintain the elevation angle as I turned. The reason I did this was that I figured the times I'd discover a pano planet would be great would be times I'd likely be without a tripod. I turned a little bit each time, even though at 20mm the field of view was wide.

Stitching I did in Lightroom on my iMac. It's 5 1/2 years old (16GB RAM), so stitching took a bit of time. Regardless, I chose the images and had Lr do its work.

Here's the original 360° pano I created to subsequently create the pano planet.

Impressive for hand held, my hands aren't steady enough anymore.

Also impressive that LR didn't have any issues. With my drone tiny planets, LR and PS get stumped.
