While I am a Fender guy, I prefer the maple top of the Paul...

Very nice looking guitar. They are such classics. I have one that is probably 9 or 10 years old. I bought it used in 2009 and it wasn't very old.

Minus the beard and the pickup cover, this is from the first day I got it in late 2013. My avatar has a photo of it too. This one gets played quite a bit.

I began doing a few rough demo videos a year when I was selling off some guitar equipment. Then last fall I did a few rough demos for a friend who was eager to learn some ukulele. So this winter I decided to shoot a few for myself.

I shot this demo about a week ago with one of my guitars. Composition, performance, video and editing are all me. It's lo-fi, and there's nothing slick about it. I'm strictly a novice with video. The low light was intentional. I used an external mic on the amp, and I used Blender for my video editing. Shot with a Fuji X-E2 + 35mm f/2. I just thought it might be a good change of pace from the usual content in this thread.

It's titled Whiskey From Mason Jars.

Took photos of all of my guitars last month when it was too cold to do much outside. This is one of my favorites.

This is my pride and joy. This is my 1986 Alvarez-Yairi DY-66. I traded a 1974 Gibson Blue Ridge (with a twisted neck) for it in 1987 and it was in absolutely pristine condition when I got it. I've had the pleasure of putting every nick, scratch, chip, crack, scrape and ding on this guitar. It's fallen down a flight of stairs, it's been on fire, in a flood and it's been hit by a car. It didn't have a pickguard on it when I got it. Kinda' glad I put that on.

I just can't kill it.

It won't let me...
