Eastern Phoebes return really early from the south. This is the first one I saw, was really excited, and then about a week later a truckload of them arrived at the local pond. Now, they're common as the Robins

One little fellow that I had a fun time photographing was Winter Wren. Boisterous little guy that loves the underbrush, very tough to get a clean shot:

All great! A singer too :)
I have to plaud the Robin, an unsung hero at least in my yard.

Too kind, thanks. Just luck. I was shooting an Egret in the other direction and suddenly a clatter behind me in the
a dark dank canal. I didn't get the pic of the fish in the air....the bierd would toss it up and 're-poke' it several
times. Just too dark for that shot.

Sorry, I'm not accepting luck as an answer. :p That was simply darn good photography on your part.

Yes it is, and man are they annoying things! One of my friends had one around my teens and it was the noisiest messiest thing ever. But then if I was shut in a little cage I'd probably kick off on a regular basis too! Oh yeah, it used to swear as well!

Yes, that's very possible, although I'm not sure which species of Myna it might have been. I believe they have a reputation for being able to copy human words.
