I'm posting 'em all because I took 6 shots and got 6 keepers :-) I was stumbling over oyster beds with a lens that many reviewers say is soft wide open and soft at the long end. Well I'm sorry, but I must have got an exceptional one! :-) OK, it ain't the Canon 100-400mkll but for a lens that cost me A$400 new, I think I'll keep it :-)

Got me thinking back.
I did get an eagle-owl, Verreaux's Eagle Owl.
First one watching me take an outside shower-

Second in a tree looking at another eagle-owl-

Sibil please ID this one, a beauty, and quite unique to me.

My knowledge of birds is very limited, but I believe it is called Red-whiskered Bulbul.

Right, so this is a female Bald Eagle in the nest. Don't see it? I've included a 100% crop

Great find.
We have a BE living about 4 miles from us. Closest one can get though is almost 200 yards :(

You don't sound sorry! Great shots!

Thanks Archie, and no, I'm not. First day out with it my shots were all over the place and I'm still trying to figure out why 'cause I'm quite happy with the lens now.

Thanks Doc. I tripped a few years back and I've still got the scars on my fingers and knees.
