the same affect Kate can be got from shore in a lot of cases. I shoot the loons from shore and get the same low on the water image. Of course you need the place and the loons or ducks. Water ways and dam’s between lakes here in Ontario make for great shooting sometimes.

that big bird there doesn't even look real! Look how slick that head is...is the little one asking "Are you my mother?"...

That's all very well, Jeff, but my days of lying prone on damp soil or squatting down are over, even if there is someone to help me get up again!

Great shot of the black phoebe, Ken...I'm partial to them.

I can so relate. Where did my youth go?

Very nice...I love that little bugger with just his head sticking out. He's obviously very comfortable.

Those are really wonderful shots. Your camera must have been floating on the water to get that great angle perspective.

That shot is truly a gem. I love it.

I find it difficult to take an interesting photo of Tufted Ducks, but your water level shots are excellent - I especially like the first one.

Edit : Is the protective clothing you wear with the floating hide warm enough, or have you had to add another layer or three?

Thanks..., it is warm enough for 3 hour´s in the water..., and this time I had learned to zip my waders correct, so I stayed dry...;o))
