Wow!!!! Awesome. This is one of the best if not the best MFT bird photos I've seen.

Thanks Ed. Hit rate not as high as previously with Canon but I'm certainly enjoying the light weight.

Very nice shot. Did you have to use flash for that bird in the foliage? I wonder how it got the name "laughing falcon?"

Thanks! No flash was used, but a bit of flash would probably have helped.

I heard the bird before I saw it. It does make a strange laughing-type of sound.

So i really wanted to duplicate my bluebird shot from a few pages back, now that spring temps have shown up and the trees started to bud. I have a BIG redbud behind the perch thats all nice and purple, so I tried to arrange a shoot today...

At first he was in a hurry, the Mrs spent most of the morning building their nest so he was watching guard but stopped by for a bit...

Thanks Doc. The weird thing is I had an E-M5 a few years back and a couple of lenses but I just couldn't bring myself to like them wholeheartedly and sold them. I bought a cheap E-M10 with the 14-42 for 200 bucks just to give them another shot when I realised I couldn't carry on with the heavy gear. As you can see from my sig, I've taken to M43 this time round, in particular the Pen F. I don't even have to change lenses as the bodies are all fitted with their own lenses and I can put the lot into the same bag I had the 7Dmkll 100-400 combo in and I actually had money left over after selling the combo until the bloody dishwasher blew up! :-)
