I’m here. :)

Been distracted with doing work around the house lately...trying to get it all done before it gets too hot outside.

OK, just checking on you!
Hot? I saw the biggest snow flakes of the year this morning! I need bugs and this weather is not helping :(
Smart getting the work done in the cool. I've got to get under the camper 20 times today and I wish it were warmer.

Gene I'm already working on it post download of your gifted file set.
It's brilliant and I've only touched on a bit of what can be done....next step
is to figure how to change the color of the pestle/text but it is already a giant step for me.
Always, always in your debt.

I think sometimes this lens gets overlooked because people think of it as a 50 1.8, and everyone else's 50 1.8 is $100-$150, so $1000 seems crazy. But in terms of iq it's much more similar to something like the sigma 50 1.4. Couple that with lightning fast after (the AF on my sigma 50 1.4 art always struggled a bit) and tiny, light form factor, this lens is definitely worth the price of admission for me.

Thanks for the insight...my 50Art works nicely on the a9, and after the updates to the MB, it works great on the r2 as well. I had issues with the FE50 f/1.4, it did not perform as well. I might have to look into the 55...although my heart is set on the FE35 f/1.4.

Another stunner Travis!
Gauranteed to be explored.
That will make how many explored? 200+ I'd bet!

you are too kind sir...and no...not 200 for me...actually missed last week, file upload error on my part, posted the wrong one, and it was too small for the 1600 px rule...to date only 55 for me...so you have quite the advantage. But its not really the point, and the quality of images has gone way down in EXPLORE lately...been seeing a lot of crap that just doesn't make sense...and dolls...WTF...I just post what I want...lately it is taking me a while to edit, I am so behind...

Bring more sports shots! Great quality shots Tmalone. Yeah I'm poor with variety....just no sports/cities/etc. near me.
We all shoot what we can and I sure like seeing other venues/genres. I remember when Poof and I went to Atlanta to get
the shot off the bridge....we were constantly scared to death just being there. I tease Randal about street photography like
where he lives in NYC abs. freaking me out.

So I'm going on an Alaskan cruise this summer. I am going to rent a 100-400 and 2x. My question is; should I get the Canon so I can use it on my 5D4 and adapted on my A7R ii? Or should I get the Sony?

Thanks for any thoughts!

This is what happens when you get a new lens and you can't get outside to test it because you are in the middle of an ice storm. 50% crop.
I think the antacids are appropriate.....;-)a
