When things got out of hand in threads, Jon was quick to restore order in his own, rather unique no-nonsense way. I miss him a lot.

I do too

There are a lot o people that seem to just disappear from the forum, and I really miss a lot of them. Some people post a lot for years and years and years, and then one day I realize I haven't seen their posts in a while, so I click on their member profile and see that they haven't posted at all for quite some time. That sucks!

A big ditto here :-(

I can't imagine how much time Jon spent on the forum. He had over 69000 posts

This is the best forum I've found on the Internet. Congratulations to you all, the owner and mods.

I miss Exwintech Dave from here, he passed a couple of years ago and it hit me hard to be honest, I know it sounds strange but I looked up to him like he was a farther, he was always helful and pointed the right way of doing things, I so respected his knowledge.

He is very missed :-(

It is unfortunate. He was always very helpful with P&S questions, an area that is mostly ignored by the POTN community.

I met Jon here. He is a remarkable man. Sorely missed.

my best friend Rafe Saber passed away. We went on many photo outings together. There's a big hole in my photo life

Thanks Maureen. Rafe was an expert photographer. He was always asking questions. He had an excellent eye. could have sold his work easily. I had a business. He thought I knew more. I learned so much from him. He cleared photo block for me every outing.
He went to France for a month. Never came back.
Rafe was JagMan. Had a huge Jaguar website. A very private man

Living in the now. (Way of Mastery)

Rafe had worked in France a lot. He visited a friend, who put him up for a month. Rafe had put his friend up in Canada for a long stay

The friend had a French Chateau on a 600 acre site (without hot water!)

Rafe passed. He's buried there. Fitting. He was a gentleman. But a very private man.
