I like them, but if you want c&c then crop tighter if you can. Decide who you want as the subject and make them the feature. Against the rules, bit i did a quick edit...

I took Bildeb0rg's advice here is a much tighter crop from a different sequence, but yes I think improved ??

For me its a lot better, shows the intensity of the game. Try turning your camera into portrait orientation too, people tend to run upright and you won't have a lot of dead space each side of the players in your pics.

Have any of you guys tried the 100-400 from either Tamron or Sigma for Rugby? I like the sharpness from my Canon 70-200 2.8/1.4x TC combo but I wouldn't mind a bit more reach, especially as our 7s season starts. I get you need good light for either,my concern would be with the AF. BTW, the Canon 100-400 II is not in my budget. Just curious if anyone here has tried either.

I would think either version would be fine ombi, albeit probably have to use them wide open for winter field sports. What body are you using?

7Dii. I lose a tad bit of AF speed with the 1.4x, but if either of those match that Id be happy and try one

Gutted, club had a boiler malfunction this morgan, so half our squad had to go to hospital for carbon monoxide poisoning. Guys are all ok, but if the club get docked points, we'll be relegated -?

I am very sorry to hear that, but to be honest relegation is far better than what could have happened.

Text book tackle from an Under 8...well nearly text book anyway; and much better than I see at some of the Super Rugby games ;)

If I was looking to upgrade my camera what should I get? Mine currently struggles with the fast shutter speed of anything much over 1/1000 or 1/1250, usually have it set at ISO200, (ISO400 is just a bit noisy when I crop the images) and I find it difficult to bring out much details in the shadows like the above images.

I borrowed a 6d and loved the extra DOF. Will be borrowing a mates 5dmk3 in a couple of weeks. Really like to test a 7dm2 also.
