This bird was shot by hoards of photogs at the Quintana Neotropical Bird Sanctuary on the Texas coast near Freeport. It was maybe a couple feet off the ground on a limb so I'm not sure how it was initially spotted. Where are you planning to go when you are down here? We rented a house on stilts that's 5 minutes from Lafitte's Cove. Quintana is on the list. We visited Brazoria last time & came back thru Surfside and didn't know about Quintana until we got home and started seeing all the posts of migrants there. PhilM
