Alan you shoot those car events wide open with auto iso during mid day?
Sounds like the results would be over exposed.
I'll admit I was pushing the dynamic range of the files sometimes but nothing too drastic. I was trying to maximize the shallow dof to see how the 50-140 performed. I was overly stimulated that day shooting experimenting with the Sony A7iii with sigma adapter w/Canon 16-35 f/2.8mk2 and the X-t2 with 50-140mm. I literally barely touched my new 50-140mm due to poor weather and lack of time.
I've tested the 16-55 and have been truly impressed with the entire build and performance. The 50-140mm is just like my initial impression of the 16-55. The quality of Fuji's 2 premium f/2.8 zooms is fantastic.
I haven't been flustered in years but the operation of the Sony camera took me off guard in my typical auto pilot run/gun mode. I didn't work too hard for this car gathering as this was a pleasure outing and I was being selfish in experimentation time.
I was using the long zoom at f/2.8 in most cases. The more and more I used the lens I really enjoyed it. The shallow dof is good but I felt the "difference" to what I am use to with my Canon stuff.
This photo was at iso 200, f/2.8, 1/500.
