Gene, I'm not really sure either. I'll leave it as a question mark until Robert can steer me in the right direction!

Try the bird portrait thread...they will know.

Maybe an immature Night Heron? Colour is a bit on the light side though.

Not sure about that Robert, I did have and continue to have a fascination with birds in general as a matter of fact I took an ornithology course in my second year in university. That course gave me access to the ornithology collection at the Royal Ontario Museum and I spent quite a bit of time going through the collection especially the Bird of Paradise specimens.

Yeah that definately is not a Great Blue Heron.

Now that I think of it, it looks more like a Crane than a Heron based on the shape of the head, probably a Blue Crane.

Jose I'd say that makes you the ranking scholar on the bierds here in this thread.
I'm slowly picking up IDs....and believe it or not some I can ID via sound; in fact I can determine a Red-bellied Woodpecker
now long before he gets to the yard!

I got the Peak Design Sling 5L. It's perfect for my natural light portrait setup.

What's Inside:
A7R3 with the 85GM on
2 Extra Batteries for the R3
Sony FE35F14
Sony FE50mm F1.8
Lumu Power Light Meter
Quarters(for parking)
iPhone Powerbank

I had to remove one of the divider. I removed the PDesign Neck Strap and replaced it with my PDesign Wrist Strap. The neck strap still fits but it's a bit annoying.

I can squeeze in the Godox TT350 in the front pocket but it's a bit tight.

In a funk.

Not happy with my photography.

I love my A9 and the 100-400 ..... but I could just shoot it all day that way.

Thinking of reducing my bag. Removing the 90 macro FE28, and the CV10....... In all honesty I am thinking I may do that and let the A7r2 and lox21 go as well......... and pick up the Fuji GFX with a 23mm and call that my day on Landscape set up. Just keep the 55 and 100-400 and A9 for everything else.

Not sure if that is GAS or frustration
