7/10, good portrait, but I'm not a fan of cropping off the hair.

Great shot - lighting and processing spot on. I might have cropped it slightly differently, but that's personal taste. 8/10

That's one hell of a stunning shot right there.
Gotta give it a 9/10

No additional photo in the reply so.....

I am not a fan of HDR images, they never seem real and they look soul-less. Sorry 2/10

Got to agree with you on HDR. It pretty much never delivers an appealing image ... for me.

But, despite a major pull-back recently, there still seems to be a whole lot of people that continue to like this 'look'.

Anyway, it's a free country. Enjoy what you like!

Haha, fair enough, each to their own! There is a lot of HDR stuff I hate too, but I like my style (obviously). I agree they don't look real - but that's what I like, personally. I'm not going for realism. I appreciate that's what some people want to see though. I always like to hear different people's opinions. If someone hates an image I really like, it makes me think about it which is never a bad thing.

Your photo Cuttlefish - looks well lit and exposed, sharp focus - for what it is there's nothing wrong with it, but the subject is a bit boring in my opinion and the pose is a bit strange. 6/10.

Here's another from me - it's a bit grainy as it's a heavy crop from a Powershot camera but I think that sort of adds to the feel of it.

I really like this image. It took me a second before I noticed the person walking. The fog and B&W conversion really add to the mystery.

Very nice image... love the lighting and edit.. pull the eye right where it needs to be.. if i had to nitpick anything it would be the crop being so close to cutting part of her leg off on the bottom... 9/10

Awesome image! Lovely capture of the dancer's pose. So elegant and at ease, even though she is leaping in the air! The white background is perfect since it doesn't distract from the action. I give this a 10!

I hate to be brutal, but this image doesn't work. The highlights on the vase are way blown out and the blacks in the image overall are too weak. In addition, I think the scene is too busy.
4/10.

I would say this would've been a great photo from a different angle.. and a bit of straightening would help... I give it 6/10 :)

my turn

Killer image... love the color tone and u controlled the over exposed windows well... great fashioon/editorial image.. only nitpick i have it id like a tad more room above her head to bring her head closer to the rule of thirds.. its not bad but just seems it needs a tad more above.. could be due to the distortion of the wide angle and having the vertical beams of the windows askew.. maybe some distortion adjustment could solve that

9/10

I'm renovating a house for a fella from Boise here in France right now, so feel justified in joining in :-)

Love the car and the setting, just not sure about the crop. I am not sure the reflection has enough power in it to justify that division of space in the photo. My immediate reaction would be to make the car the whole target of the viewer's focus. It works, for sure, but perhaps not as strongly as it might have done - for me, anyway. 7.5/10

I wonder what the photo looked like with a tall 'portrait' crop?
