I take advantage of it because I can usually get some nice sky shots like that. Image hosted by forum (912168) © Talley [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. May 05, 2018 20:57 | #16145 speaking of gators...look what I spotted in my neighborhood lake. I live a couple minutes from Brazos Bend park where Travis shot a couple weeks back. The lakes in my neighborhood actually feed into natural water ways (oyster creek), and its pretty common to see these things along the running trails here. There are also a lot of really cool looking birds out here. I'm not a birder, but I'm sure there are some special ones out there. They tend to migrate with the seasons. I’m going to have to try to get a lower angle for my daughter’s softball games from now on. That shot has also got my 70-200 GM lust in full swing, lol.

I wouldn't lust too hard on that 70-200. To me it's not some kind of amazing lens. I'm selling mine. I don't feel it's even on par with the canon mk2. Lyndön Goldmember More info | May 05, 2018 23:47 | #16155 Well that stinks, thanks. I usually shoot with the 70-200 mk II and 300 2.8 IS on the 7D2/5D3, so I’m used to decent f/2.8 glass and was hoping the GM would be at least equal to the Canon... it should be for the $$$ they’re asking. I have noticed a lot of hype and fanboy-ism around the Sony stuff. It’s hard to pick through all of the “it’s the most amazing camera/lens in the history of photography” BS to get to a real honest review sometimes. Probably a good idea to rent one for a few days first. I like the idea of the smaller/lighter f4, but as you know it’s so much nicer to have 2.8 (or better) for evening ball games and dimly lit recitals. Oh well, maybe I’ll just hang on to the 7D2 and my current white lenses for sports and use the A7III for other things.
