wow thats awsome all keepers, have u found a way to map the eye focus so it toggles on and off or do u and others on here hold the button the whole time u use the function, i am new to eye focus as my old a7 didnt have it, i am amazed at it using the mediocre lenses i have in fe format, but i would luv to toggle it on or off and not hold it the whole time

There isn't a way to toggle it on and off...you have to hold the button down. I prefer it that way as I wouldn't want it picking up random eyes in the frame when that's not my intention. Face detect stays toggled on and yeah it annoys the crap out of me when it prioritizes on a face I'm not trying to shoot.

I’ve noticed that too. I’m planning on setting up the face priority feature when I get the chance. Hopefully it’ll help make face priority a little less annoying.

It makes me miss the feature of the Canon G-series that lets you use the L/R direction keys to toggle between faces it detects. I haven’t found a way to do that on the Sony, if it exists.

Switch to large spot focus mode it will still face detect but only in that range. So it’s a semi focus.
