Nice image! I like the composition of the brown bird against the background of textured tan sand.

I love this one! Great tones.
Suitably cropped, it would make a great phone background with the bird in the right hand bottom corner.

Yep, very handsome. I love the serrated edge to the bill in the first photo.

Melissa...beautiful close-up shots of that male gaddy. Very nicely done.

Sorry, Kate, I should have said. It's a Willet, a bird that has long been predicted as a transatlantic vagrant but hasn't shown up in the UK yet. If you see a bird that looks like a "shank" or a godwit, but has a thicker, grey bill and grey legs, get very, very excited.

Same goes for these, very well done Warblers.

The warbler migration has been lackluster here, I'm supremely jealous

You all ever have stretches where things just don't see anything, or you miss the key shot because a branch is perfectly across the birds face, or you forgot to adjust ISO and you underexpose, or an awesome bird appears when the light is too low... that's been the case with my last 3 outings :-|

I managed to get a couple of shots today, though I'm really aggravated that I couldn't cash in on an Indigo Bunting. It got dark outside too quick.

Yellow-throated Vireo:

This is a Solitary Sandpiper. I never do B&W, but in this case the reflections in the water were an overpowering green and yellow, and i just couldn't get it to look right, so I converted.

Randomly spotted this fellow the other night at the top of a Sycamore tree... I think it's a Budgerigar... aka a Budgie. Someone's pet escaped, I'm guessing. Poor guy.. Not by any means a good photo, I’m just posting it to share the random encounter.
