Heading to Maui and the Big Island for the first time for 14 days in early-mid April four our (belated) honeymoon. One week on each island and two days on the Big Island staying in Volcano. Wife and I are planning on hiking, biking the crater, road to Hana, luau, general exploring of the islands, and doing all the touristy stuff and eating all the food. Maybe we will find a day or two to just sit on a beach too
I've got a Canon 70D with EF-S 17-55 and EF 70-300L. Any reason to bring anything else? My wife doesn't particularly like to model so I'm not sure if I'll be needing a flash. I've also rented an EF-S 10-22 in the past and had fun with it, but that was in old European cities, not sure if I'll need it in HI.
On Maui eat at Mama's Fish House, a little expensive but worth it. The menu is made from what is caught that day, listing who caught it and where. Reservations are a must. https://www.mamasfishhouse.com
