I'm really hoping to make it to Redlands. I'm liking the lineup, but we have tentative guests that weekend, so I won't know for sure until next week some time.

It's taken me years to get to the point where I get a keep-rate of about 1% shooting that slow. Some of the photographers on here make it look so easy.

Yeah, well it ain't all that easy after years of practice, either! ; D
But after a while I get tired of the same needle sharp images & get more fun out of pushing the limits. Like a black GT-40 on Woodward at night at 1/10 sec.
Or Evening Biplanes See what I mean? ; )

I really like that Ford GT shot.

An image I'm really hoping to capture is a slow shutter capture of someone like Sean D. Tucker or Patty Wagstaff doing a roll where the fuselage or at least propeller is mostly in focus while the wings show marked motion blur.

But 1/10? I think even surgeons would be jealous of that kind of steady-handedness.

At least shooting is free now, in the film days I used to practice panning shots at motorcycle club races at 1/30th and 1/60th of a second to improve my success rate at big races, I would use 1/125th or 1/250th normally. I wasted a lot of money on film and processing, sometimes I would get a couple of keepers per roll and sometimes none.

How about a Lancaster.
