it definitely should be white like the R2. We should probably call and complain to sony, and hope it comes out in a firmware update.

i'm glad it's not only me. i really don't like it. or at least like the peaking you can choose the color you like.

What's the point of being able to move the point with the joystick if you can't see where it is or is going Sony ???????
And Charlie is right, just like focus peaking you should be able to select a color.

Possibly a repost, sorry if so. I was one that most recently
lost several thousand images on Flickr. Interesting because Poof who processes
and posts to Flickr right beside me lost nary a one.
I went through my gallery here but didn't see it.
Posting because a member was asking about proximity to the bugs. I think for
this one I was 5-6 feet.

who else wish the AF box is colored with something visible especially when using joystick? sometimes it's hard to see.

My biggest gripe about the a9...not being able to see the AF box...its gray...and sometimes impossible to find so I have to recenter it and start over...wish it was white.

not only that. sometimes it's jumping. i think when it goes beyond an edge it will jump to the other side. not sure but it's really annoying. Brian Smith is active on all Sony groups in facebook, i will try to raise the issue.

just tested it out...it does not jump to the other side...maybe its getting bumped while you move and re positioned...

I actually think it would be pretty nice if the AF point would move to the other side if you cross the edge so it'd be easier to get to the other side if your AF point is on the opposite edge. Like playing pacman trying to get to the big pellet on the otherside with ghosts on your ass. :-)

It doesn't work like that though.

I'm all for colored AF points though.

I very much agree...wrap around scrolling would be great.

I thought about it, and not for me. I prefer a 35mm prime over a 24-70 zoom for 'normal' FOV type shooting.

I'm much more interested in an UWA zoom. That laowa zoom is what's piquing my interest the most right now.

One thing Sony bodies need....ambient light sensor!

I constantly underexpose things when I forget to turn the rear LCD and EVF brightness down

the histogram helps me a lot but the ambient light sensor would be nice. any other camera that have that feature?
